He Is Still in the Room

He Is Still in the Room

Think about a child learning to walk. The parent holds their hands, guiding every single step. But eventually, to help the child grow strong, the parent lets go for a second and steps back a few inches.

To the child, it feels like they’ve been abandoned. They reach out, terrified. But the parent hasn't left the house. They haven't walked away. They are standing right there, watching every move, ready to catch them if they fall, using that small distance to teach the child how to stand on their own feet.

God does not abandon His children.

"Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you."

Deuteronomy 31:8 (NLT)

If you can't feel Him today, drop the panic. Stop performing.

Just stay in the room. Keep showing up to the ordinary work of daily faithfulness. The sun hasn't vanished just because the clouds rolled in, and the God who made you hasn't moved an inch.
